Tow up Thursday!

Well it is that time again to prepare for the weekend...and this weekend is HALLOWEEN of course.  So today's post name comes to me for several reasons....

I have a person who covers after hours and writes notes nightly regarding the updates on the people we are working with.  This note was regarding one of our residents apartments being a mess.  Read beneath the heart....

Apartment is TOW UP!! I love my job, it makes me realize how fortunate I am to have the people I have in my life and to have had the opportunities I have had.  And not to say I have lots of money or anything, but am fortunate in many other ways.  Like the other day when I was helping someone study for his drivers exam and he asked "What makes you a better driver? If you can make quick reactions or have sound judgement?" I asked him what he thought the answer was and he said "quick reactions".  So after a quick discussion and a drawn scenario I said that having sound judgement was better, his response was "oh so you have to be a good listener to be a good driver".  As a little background I work with adults who are slow learners and did not have have the support that I had growing up and need a little more help.

Every morning I talk with DSS on our way to work. This morning after we hung up the phone I looked out my window at work and saw one motorized wheel chair being towed by another.  It just made me chuckle.  I mean what is one to do if your chair breaks down while you are out and about?? OF COURSE...call your friend for a tow.

So my dating web site seems to be giving me more options than I had previously.  I tried this on line dating thing two years ago and had the worst luck!  I think this time I am a little more open to the possibilities.  Not that I am lowering my standards for what I want, but being more open and realizing that looks are important, but not everything.  So I am still receiving messages from Bob the Builder as well as Doc.  My most recent match has been with the Professor.  He is from Greece and is a Professor locally, and just moved here a month ago!  He is going to Singapore here in a week or so and said..."did you know...you cannot chew gum in Singapore".  The City is known to be the cleanest city in the world.  They banned chewing gum as people were leaving their gum everywhere.  It was unsightly but also was causing delays with their mass transit trains as gum would get in the tracks of the doors and could not close hence causing train delays and costly repairs.  IF caught chewing gum and its you first offense you can face fines from $500-$1000 US dollars AND have to clean public places which is often televised. You learn something new everyday!

Last night was monthly Bunko with the girls.  Always a good time, the group changes often with of course the standard girls.  I was neither a winner or a loser meaning I went home with having had good food, wine and good times with my girls.

Have a great weekend!!

  1. Clearly the next time you see somone towing a Hov-A-Round with another Hov-A-Round, you need to run outside so that you can take a bigger picture :)
